Southwest Florida

What golf actually costs here, by season

Published green fees in Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties, split into peak season (December–April) and summer. Read from each course's own rate page, August 3, 2026.

How much do Southwest Florida green fees rise in snowbird season?

Sharply. But the honest answer is that almost no Southwest Florida course publishes both seasons. Of 48 publicly playable courses we checked, only 4 post a peak rate and a summer rate you can compare. Among those 4, peak runs about 2.3× the summer rate, a useful signal, not a statistic, on a sample that small. That gap in published pricing is exactly why no reliable seasonal comparison exists anywhere.

Every figure here is a published rate from the course or its municipal parks page. No estimates, no aggregator averages. Rates change several times a season, and most quotes include a cart in Florida. Treat these as the course's published starting point, not today's quote.

Common questions

Paying less for the same course

When is peak golf season in Southwest Florida?

Snowbird season, basically. Winter residents and visitors pack the region from around December into April, and course pricing tracks the calendar right along with them. Come May, the same course that charged top dollar in February often cuts that rate substantially, and holds it there through October.

Is it cheaper to book direct or through a booking site?

Depends on the day, not the channel. A platform might undercut the course's posted rate on a slow Tuesday afternoon and lose to it on a Saturday morning once you add their booking fee. Pull up both for the exact date and time you want before committing to either.

Do Southwest Florida courses offer twilight rates?

Plenty of them, yes. A twilight tee time in peak season is frequently the best discount a rate-holding course will offer you all day. The catch: the start time isn't fixed, it chases sunset, so call the course instead of guessing the hour.

Can you walk 18 holes in Florida?

Where a course allows it, yes. Summer heat and humidity turn an early tee time from a nice-to-have into a necessity, and some Southwest Florida courses are cart-mandatory regardless of season anyway. Walking permissions are noted per course on the public courses page where the course states them.
