History
Opened as Rolling Hills Country Club in the late 1950s (sources disagree on the exact year — 1956, 1959, and 1960 all appear), designed by William F. Mitchell with a second nine by Bill Dietsch.
In 1979–80 the club was filmed as the fictional "Bushwood Country Club" for the movie Caddyshack; annual rounds played reportedly jumped from about 25,000 to 90,000 afterward, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The property went through foreclosure in the late 1980s and was purchased by Japanese investors in 1990.
In 1998–99, Wayne Huizenga bought the club and had it redesigned by Raymond Floyd; it reopened as Grande Oaks Golf Club in April 1999, with a further Floyd-credited redesign around 2014.
Nova Southeastern University acquired the club in 2006; it is now home to the NSU Sharks men’s and women’s NCAA Division II golf teams.
